Material Handler – Full Time

POSITION SUMMARY
The Material Handler is responsible for the handling of raw materials and finished goods. The incumbent will ensure accurate and timely receipt of material and gather and stage materials for production operations, amongst other duties.
MAJOR POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES
· Follow all safety policies and procedures, works in a safe manner and adheres to the ONTARIO Occupational Heath and Safety Act
· Ensures all materials are secure and stable for transit and storage and are delivered to production, storage, or other areas in a “ready to use” state, on time and in full.
Load/unload/count & check materials during incoming.
Operates warehouse material handling equipment in a safe manner. Assists in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse
Reports observations of any deviation to the process/procedure or a defect or non-conformance.
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
*MUST HAVE VALID FORKLIFT LICENSE (COUNTERBLAMCE & REACH)*
Highschool diploma, GED or equivalent
Minimum 1 year of related warehousing experience
Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
Basic computer and math skills with ability to learn WMS system and use scanners/software in daily job functions as required.
Food experience and asset
