Business Need / Purpose of Role:
The Class 4 power engineer is responsible for operating autoclaves to ensure the efficient curing of the rubber products. Additionally, this role plays a crucial part in the timely and accurate movement, handling & staging of materials for the hose and rubber department.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and monitor Autoclave for rubber curing process.
Complete and maintain autoclave records, logs and reports.
Loading, unloading and handling of material (Mechanical & Manually handling)
Assist in maintaining accurate inventory locations and enforce strict quarantines and material hold points as needed.
Assist in conducting frequent inventory counts and spot checks to maintain accurate inventory levels.
Cutting and measuring wood products for packaging using hand tools; saw, drill, air gun etc.
Understand daily production needs and provide material in a timely manner
As required, assist with receiving of inventory items into the computer database
Proactively identify and address inventory-related problems and monitor stock levels for certain items.
Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications
Education/Experience:
Completion of High School diploma or equivalent.
Class 4 Power Engineer certification is required.
Previous experience in shipping/receiving within a manufacturing environment is required.
Experience in construction is considered an asset for this role.
