***WE HAVE TWO DIFFERENT STARTING LOCATIONS – WE HAVE A STARTING LOCATION BASED OUT OF KINGSFORD HEIGHTS, IN AND A ONE BASED OUT OF THREE OAKS, MI. MUST BE WILLING TO DRIVE TO EITHER PLACE AS NECESSARY OR REQUESTED.

Our team is seeking an Independent Contractor (1099) who can full-fill carpentry skills and has experience within that field, as well as wildlife. We are seeking a motivated Carpenter Helper to join our Wildlife Control Team. The ideal candidate will assist in various carpentry tasks and gain valuable hands-on experience in the field as taking care of homes, businesses and properties suffering from wildlife damages. Our team provides a wide-variety of exclusions, trapping services and you get paid for your drive time in our company van! You must be able to work on Friday’s and weekends. You may be asked to full-fill the position of providing estimates, wildlife removal and carpentry.
Duties:
– That is NOT afraid of heights and can go on ALL ladders at different angles and heights.
– Assist carpenters in all phases of construction projects
– Perform basic carpentry tasks such as measuring, cutting, and assembling materials
– Being able to use an extension ladder. Our team mainly seals homes and businesses to be Rodent’s out of structures.
– Support in framing, including layout and cutting of materials.
– Utilize power tools safely & we supply you with your own tools.
– Removing animals from traps, (sometimes we attach traps to soffit or on the sides of homes), being able to lift traps with Raccoons, etc. checking traps, resetting traps, providing exclusion work, independent and being able to work with a couple other people to help seal up homes, businesses or provide ground exclusions on properties. You will be especially trained and feel as a part of our team.
Experience:
– Previous experience in construction or carpentry is a plus
– Familiarity with trim carpentry techniques
– Knowledge of frame carpentry principles
– Ability to use power tools effectively
– Working good with customers, taking direction, respectful and absorbing knowledge.
– A fast learner,
– Following a schedule & taking simple direction.
– Being able to use a tablet and add detailed notes per job.
– Willingness to learn and grow in the field in the Wildlife Control Industry.
– Using a ladder safely and does not fear heights.
***You MUST be able to work weekends as being on call for live animals in traps and driving our company van to pick them up and working on Friday’s.***
– Resetting and removing traps for wildlife,
– Performing wildlife exclusions on homes, businesses and properties,
– Willing to learn in general on the spectrum of work being provided,
– Willing to follow safety instructions and handling of wildlife,
– Willing to follow safety instructions of carpentry skills including ladder work (heights) and learn how to properly use all equipment / tools,
– Willing to be on time,
– Willing to work long hours if needed,
– Willing to work in colder temperatures and hotter temperatures such as attics, winter months & more.

Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour
