Mason Tender Jobs in Utica, NY at Remlap Construction Inc.
Responsibilities:
– Assist masons in the construction and repair of structures, including but not limited to buildings, walls, and floors
– Mix mortar and grout according to specifications
– Prepare and clean work areas, including removing debris and setting up scaffolding
– Carry and distribute materials and tools to masons as needed
– Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts or hoists to transport materials
– Assist with the installation of tile, drywall, stucco, or other finishing materials
– Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, or other construction documents
– Perform basic carpentry tasks such as trim carpentry or metal stud framing
Requirements:
– Previous experience as a mason tender or in a similar role is preferred but not required
– Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods of time
– Familiarity with construction tools and equipment
– Basic knowledge of masonry techniques and materials
– Ability to read and understand blueprints or schematics
– Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
– Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced masons
– Valid driver’s license is a plus
