Full job description
We are Canada’s most important historical hockey memorabilia auction house and we are looking for help in our marketing and social medias department. here are some of the tasks:
Catalog/Auction
Design and layout of auction promotional adds
Create online virtual catalog
Image preparation and organization
Treatment of catalog images (clipping/cropping/aligning, color match)
Interface with auction software to troubleshoot issues with catalog/categories
Database management between inventory system and catalog layout
Fresh new marketing look for each auction
Create/manage YouTube videos for feature items in auction
Maintain website
Create banners for site
Update site regularly
Create new pages
Update site for rules, times, etc
Interface with Auction software company to troubleshoot issues with website/mailing lists
Renewal of subscriptions, services
Mailing List Management
Maintain MailChimp List
Send bulk emails as required
Weekly during auctions
Bi-weekly out of auction times
Generate fresh images for email
Manage Constant Contact for media mailings
Social media management
Create content for social media
Analytics for site and auctions
Keep up-to-date on trends for SM
Create/Manage ads for SM
Use tools in Bitly and Hootsuite to manage SM content
Run contests on SM to engage new ‘likes’, reward existing customers
Skills
good understanding of best practices in email marketing
good understanding in marketing analytics,
Ability to interpret marketing and analytics data
Highly detail-oriented analytical approach: you are the person who naturally notices flaws in everything and who can suggest ways to improve
very organised, able to meet overall project milestones and deadlines
High professional curiosity and desire to keep learning in (and across) your specialty field
creative
we are offering a basic salary of 25$-40$ per hour to start but this is up for discussion depending on experience but really, salary is to be discussed as we are looking to meet qualified and talented people and ready to discuss proper salary.
