Salary: $45,000-55,000 + benefits + vacation

About BCSEG

The BC Society of Engineering & Geoscience (BCSEG) is a member-driven, non-profit organization representing engineering and geoscience professionals across British Columbia. BCSEG is entering a growth phase focused on strengthening its value proposition, expanding membership engagement, launching sponsorship initiatives, and building a strong, credible public presence.

The Opportunity

BCSEG is seeking a Marketing & Communications Coordinator to support the execution of communications, branding, and member engagement activities. This role plays a central part in implementing BCSEG’s strategic roadmap by translating priorities into clear, consistent, and engaging communications.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing & Communications:

– Coordinate digital communications (website, email, social media)

– Draft and edit newsletters, announcements, and campaign materials

– Maintain brand and visual consistency across materials

Membership & Engagement:

– Promote member programs, events, and benefits

– Support targeted outreach campaigns

– Amplify Branch initiatives across the province

Events, Programs & Sponsorship:

– Promote events and professional development offerings

– Support sponsorship communications and partner recognition

Internal Coordination:

– Collaborate with CEO, staff, and volunteer committees

– Maintain communications calendars and track engagement metrics

Qualifications & Experience

– Post-secondary education or equivalent experience in marketing, communications, or related field

– Strong writing and editing skills

– Experience managing digital content

– Ability to work independently in a small, evolving organization

– Non-profit or association experience is an asset

– Familiarity with engineering, geoscience, or STEM communities is an asset
