Overview
We are seeking a skilled Marine Technician to join our team in maintaining and repairing a wide range of boat type. We are a Yamaha, Mercury, BassCat, ARGOCat, LUND, Suncatcher dealer. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, proficiency with hand and power tools, and a passion for marine technology. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on ensuring the safety, functionality, and performance of marine assets.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on boats, engines, and related marine systems
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and techniques
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to disassemble, repair, and reassemble marine equipment
- Conduct system upgrades and modifications as needed to improve vessel performance
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs
- Assist in the installation of new equipment and systems onboard vessels
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment at all times
Qualifications
- Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in marine or similar mechanical systems
- Proficiency with hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, etc.
- Experience with power tools including drills, grinders, and saws is preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience working on marine vessels or engines is a plus but not required
Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
