Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs construction of docks, decks, and boathouses in the water at the job site or by barge per blueprint specifications and per direction of the Project Manager
- Operates equipment and machinery in a knowledgeable, safe, and effective manner
- Follows and applies safety rules and techniques
- Reports any problems with construction duties to supervisor
- May operate machinery to transport materials from trucks to the job site; places, cuts, and aligns decking into correct order and position, following blueprint specifications
- Uses hardware, such as bolts, washers, rods, lumber, and uses necessary hand and power tools
- Positions and fastens all required hardware and materials onto docks using wrenches, rubber mallets, and others appropriate tools, ensuring decking is assembled correctly
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Concrete Forming, Seawall Experience a Plus, Jetting
Qualifications:
- Candidates must possess a valid Driver’s License as travel is required and dependability for work schedule is crucial.
- Performs any combination of the essential duties and responsibilities of marine construction while on project dock, decks, boathouses, and seawall job sites.
- Rate of pay will vary dependent on skill level of employee.
- Candidates with carpentry experience is required.
- This is a physically demanding position that works outside in all-weather types.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 – $25.00 per hour
