Your opportunity at ARC’TERYX:
As the Manager, People & Culture Business Partnership, you will lead our strategic partnership with our Merchandising and Footwear teams, directly supporting our Chief Merchandising Officer and General Manager of Footwear. You will drive business outcomes through the application of people programs and initiatives that align with our long-term business strategy. You will provide strategic guidance and expertise in organizational design, performance management, workforce planning, and change leadership to drive employee engagement and success at the individual, team, and business level.
As a trusted coach and partner to the senior leaders in your portfolio, you will enable ongoing leadership development across the business through day-to-day partnership and guidance. This is a temporary role ending in October 2027 based out of our North Vancouver or Portland office. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada or United States.

Responsibilities
- Partner with leaders across the business and oversee the creation and implementation of the people strategy in alignment with the long-term global business strategy.
- Provide ongoing strategic guidance and coaching to the senior leadership teams across Merchandising and Footwear.
- Partner with Total Rewards to inform the evolving total rewards strategy and to ensure successful implementation and communication across the portfolio.
- Oversee the activation of the global performance framework, including performance management, talent assessment, and succession planning.
- Provide strategic guidance on organizational design and structure, designing high-performing teams that meet evolving business needs.
- Foster engagement, trust, and performance through change leadership and day-to-day partnership with the People & Culture function.
- Oversee workforce planning, identify gaps between current and future competency requirements, and ensure a strategic people resourcing plan.
- Own headcount budgeting and forecasting for the portfolio.
- Operate as a key member of the P&C Business Partner leadership team and drive cross-functional P&C initiatives.
Future work
- Develop cross-functional P&C projects from scratch and participate in business-wide projects solving organizational pain points in support of the people strategy.
- Gather and analyze people and business information to identify trends and evolve P&C strategies.
- Lead cross-functional organizational design in partnership with senior business leaders.
Qualifications
- You have a degree in Business and 5+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally within an apparel or retail business environment.
- You have previous experience working for a global company and a proven ability to quickly understand a complex global business model.
- You are skilled at influencing through relationships, expertise and data, and can manage a complex group of stakeholders.
- You are a natural leader who is comfortable blazing a trail in uncharted territory.
- You have a collaborative style with the ability to work in teams as both a lead and supporting member.
- You can coach, mentor, advise, and help employees grow in alignment with business and personal objectives.
- You have strong project management skills and can adapt to changing priorities.
- You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, can analyze data, assess people, identify trends, and develop prioritized recommendations.
- You have excellent listening and communication skills with the ability to communicate large complex change.
- You are proactive in identifying root causes and developing solutions; you remain flexible when faced with ambiguity; you balance autonomy and collaboration; you inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this role is CAD $108,000 – CAD 142,000.
