Reporting to the Head of Compliance and collaborating closely with the Director of Legal, this pivotal role entails the development and upkeep of a robust Compliance and Ethics program. The Compliance and Ethics Manager plays a crucial role in nurturing

ethical practices

among all employees and agents, while mitigating risks associated with misconduct. This role ensures that the company’s compliance processes adhere to relevant regulatory standards and internal policies, aligned with the company’s

safety protocols

and

sustainability

initiatives.

** Location

* * This is a full-time position situated at the corporate headquarters in Vancouver, Canada, with the option for a flexible work arrangement and you should be comfortable relocating to Beautiful British Columbia

** Duties and

Responsibilities

** Provide oversight and guidance on legal, regulatory, and operational risk matters concerning compliance, ethics, and misconduct.

Establish and maintain a comprehensive compliance framework in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies.

Ensure adherence to relevant rules, regulations, standards, and policies.

Conduct regular risk assessments and offer recommendations to

senior management

regarding compliance risks.

Conduct annual Compliance Assessments and deliver periodic reports to the executive team.

Ensure compliance processes align with legal, regulatory, and governance requirements.

Monitor compliance with laws, regulations, and policies at both corporate and operational levels.

Implement and communicate corporate compliance and governance policies across the organization.

Develop and deliver compliance training programs and ongoing

education

initiatives.

Perform additional duties as necessary to support company objectives.

** Requirements

* * Bachelor’s degree in Arts, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or equivalent from a reputable institution.

Minimum of five years of professional experience in compliance and ethics, including international exposure.

Experience in

project management

.

Hold a Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) designation.

Excellent written and verbal

communication skills

for effective stakeholder engagement.

Strong

attention to detail

and organizational skills, with the ability to manage time efficiently.

Strong interpersonal skills, collaborating effectively with individuals at all levels.

Extensive experience in developing, implementing, and auditing compliance and ethics programs.

Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory requirements and best practices in the mining/Natural Resources/Oil & Gas industry.

Ability to

work independently with minimal supervision.
