JOB STATEMENT:

Reporting to the Director, Finance, the Manager, FP&A is a strategic partner to our business leaders, and the broader finance team, responsible for leading financial planning, forecasting and analysis activities. This role leverages financial data from across the business to produce insights that support decision-making, drive strategic initiatives and communicate our performance to stakeholders.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Strategic Planning & Forecasting

  • Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes for business line and product line financials.
  • Develop long-term financial models to support strategic planning & capital allocation.
  • Partner with business leaders to assess financial performance and profitability.
  • Build templates and tools to be used across the group to assist in the consolidation of individual business line plans for senior management review.

Financial Analysis & Reporting

  • Deliver insightful analysis on AUM trends, fee revenue, operating margins and product performance.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly management reports for senior leadership.
  • Conduct scenario and sensitivity analyses to evaluate business risks and opportunities.
  • Assist the financial accounting team with assessment of fair value for certain corporate assets and impairment testing required under IFRS.
  • Work with finance, data and other partners to develop processes and procedures to capture necessary non-financial data within the accounting system to support forecasting and management reporting processes.

Business Partnering

  • Provide financial input on new product launches, fund restructures and vendor management
  • Collaborate with investment, operations, and distribution teams to support strategic initiatives
  • Translate complex data into clear narratives highlighting risks and opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • Chartered Professional Accountant designation
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience, ideally within asset management or financial services industry
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, results oriented environment
