In this role, you will be involved in:

• Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader bank’s relationships, systems and knowledge

• Actively contributes to enhancements of the Bank’s data management program to ensure alignment with the Bank’s risk appetite, regulatory requirements and business opportunities.

• As a part of the Enterprise Data Governance team, review intakes/ data initiatives/DQ and DQIM initiatives submitted by business domains to ensure data components of the project are understood and the project team is aware of their data management requirements prior to business casing and implementation of initiatives.

• Support Chief Data Office (CDO) in establishing DQ and DQIM initiatives.

• Serves as a liaison between key stakeholders and the business line Chief Data Office teams for data governance activities, follow ups and action plans to ensure that data related business requirements clearly defined, communicated, and well understood and considered as part of operational prioritization and planning

• Act as a subject matter expert and support data governance tools by managing business requirements, represent the Data Office in the sprints and conducting business acceptance testing as required

• Provide training/consultation and guidance of the data governance process and tooling to data domains

• Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions

Dimensions

• This role requires an understanding of data governance leading practices and strong knowledge of the Bank’s data policy and standards

• Previous experience with using Jira and Confluence

• Experienced with using complex Excel functions and Visio

• Experience in data governance initiatives, policy and standards and providing guidance and support to data domains

• Ability to exercise good judgement in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions

Project management skills in order to handle diverse projects, often simultaneously, and meet aggressive deadlines

• Ability to increase operating efficiency and produce high quality technical solutions

• A high level of interpersonal, verbal and presentation skills necessary to relate to other people

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? We’d love to work with you if you have the following:

• Post-secondary education:
University degree or equivalent experience

• Minimum of 2 years of work experience, preferably in a bank / financial institution

• Spanish (good to have but is not a full requirement)

Working Conditions

The incumbent works in a standard office environment with no unusual risk of injury or ill health from physical or environmental factors. Frequent ad hoc requests from senior officers, deadlines and unplanned operating problems expected. Frequent need to give close attention to concentrated reading; may require long hours at a personal computer in preparation of documents and presentations. Generally normal business hours and occasionally extended hours are to be expected in order to meet timely handling of requests.
