📌 What You’ll Do

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Commercial Excellence Manager, you will drive Canada-wide sales growth and strengthen retailer partnerships for your assigned brand. Through strategic planning, multi-functional collaboration, promotional analytics, and retailer insights you will build winning sales strategies that will deliver annual brand growth plans at our retail customers.

Reporting to the Commercial Excellence Lead, Canada, the Commercial Excellence Manager, is responsible for building, implementing, and managing their brand’s 4P channel strategies and ensuring commercial success in partnership with sales and marketing. This role is pivotal in translating brand plans into actionable retailer plans. We are looking for someone with a winning attitude who is motivated by developing sales strategies and opportunities through analytics and value creation to drive growth with the retailer, working alongside sales and marketing to execute.

SPECIFIC KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

Key Responsibilities

  • Be the voice of Canadian retailers in strategic planning sessions with leadership and marketing.
  • Translate marketing plans into retailer activation plans across marketing and sales tactics.
  • Partner with Sales to execute trade programs and adapt plans to retailer’s needs.
  • Guide and enable Sales teams to deliver sales, share, and productivity targets.
  • Develop, adapt, and optimize 4P strategies that integrate brand and channel objectives to deliver market share, customer distribution, and profitability.
  • Lead channel price and promo strategy development, deployment, and measurement with the key account team, optimizing strategy based on learning.
  • Drive a data-driven approach to decision making, creating a pragmatic plan for analytics and insights that will allow for ongoing measurement and optimization of plans.
  • Maximize ROI (return on investment) on customer-specific promotion strategies to deliver profitable growth in-line with objectives.

  • Analytic storytelling skills: integrating and interpreting data and insights from multiple disparate sources into concise action-oriented recommendations and strong presentation skills to bring relevant recommendations to life and inspire action from retailers.
  • Self-starter: sets high standards for excellence with strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision. Can effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines, in a fast-paced environment. Takes personal responsibility and accountability for execution and results.
  • Business and commercial acumen: able to identify and focus on growth-driving opportunities, with ability to leverage existing and emerging insights to inform business decisions and integrate these into the commercial planning process.
  • Trade Spend Analytics be the partner to sales teams to ensure reliable growth plans are in place and working, providing trade budget analytics to determine which opportunities to pursue and how to mitigate risks, translate learning into strategic guardrails by channel.
  • Problem Solver: can clearly identify customer and/or business problems or challenges and with a data-centric approach, can proactively solve with urgency. Can effectively rally organizational partners to arrive at actionable solutions.
  • Collaborator: influence and collaborate with members across departments to integrate marketing strategies and execution. Must be able to foster and develop relationships internally and externally at all levels of the organization.

What You Bring

You're a mix of curious, collaborative, and purpose-driven. Your experience and perspective might include:

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • University degree in Business or related field; MBA preferred
  • 5+ years experience within a CPG organization, focused on Key Account Management, Marketing, Category Development and/or Commercial Strategy
  • Excellent track record of driving commercial success across retail channels
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Canadian retail environment and trade spend dynamics
  • Experience in leading/executing annual business planning process and customer strategies with tactical planning across the 4Ps
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Nielsen, and retailer POS

Jamieson Wellness Inc. offers a competitive total rewards package that goes beyond base pay, including eligibility for our Short-Term Incentive Program and a variety of benefits to support your well-being and professional growth.

For this role, the posting range is “$80,550 to $120,850”, which reflects the full salary range of the position. The actual salary offered will be determined based on factors such as relevant experience, level of education, and other professional qualifications aligned with the requirements and complexity of this position.
