CDCC offers clearing and settlement services for all MX transactions and certain over-the-counter (OTC) derivatives. CDCC offers central counter party and clearing and settlement services for all transactions carried out on MX’s markets and on some OTC products.
Reporting to Director, Business Development, you will be responsible for contributing to the commercial initiatives of clearing services offered through CDCC.
The responsibility includes identifying the various requirements based on needs, within the scope of each Business Development project to develop new products and services and assessing the impact of new derivatives contracts or modifications to existing contracts that affect post-trade functions. This assessment includes considering impacts on back-office operations, systems, and risk management processes. The role will require working closely with the CDCC risk, operations and IT teams to prepare impact analysis that will properly scope and size the risk, operations, and IT efforts that will be required to implement the proposed product or service.
Key Account abilities:
Prepare comprehensive analyses of business requirements for post-trade processing of MX listed and CDCC-cleared (listed and OTC) products
Evaluate and propose design alternatives for products and functionalities in order to address post-trade challenges
Contribute to business case development and prioritization, modeling/tracking, and post-mortem analysis
On a proactive basis:
Ensure a clear understanding of each client’s business model, strategy and associated needs
Gather product implementation requirements from back office personnel at clearing member firms
Build a strong understanding of the client’s interactions with CDCC/MX, and specifically with their derivatives products’ needs and ensure that solutions are available or being addressed internally.
Present feedback gathered from clients and collaborate on existing products/services as well as potential new value added products/services based on the client’s needs assessment
Provide a high-level estimate of impact of changes of new/modified products and services on CDCC and clearing members and ensure that functionality requirements are sufficient to assess impact on CDCC and clearing members
Acquire a strong understanding of CDCC processes and systems to effectively troubleshoot issues and efficiently move projects forward
Establish a strong working relationships with CDCC and MX peers
Remain up to date in changing regulatory requirements and share the changes with peers
