We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Restaurant Maintenance Employee to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the overall maintenance and repair of our restaurant facilities to provide a safe and pleasant dining experience for our guests and a functional work environment for our staff.
Key Responsibilities
1. General Maintenance:
– Perform routine inspections and maintenance of restaurant equipment, plumbing, and electrical systems.
– Conduct repairs on various equipment, including kitchen appliances, furniture, and fixtures.
2. Facility Upkeep:
– Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the restaurant premises, including outdoor areas.
– Ensure that all areas meet health and safety regulations.
3. Troubleshooting:
– Identify issues in a timely manner and take appropriate action to resolve them.
– Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff members.
4. Inventory Management:
– Keep an inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment; order new materials as needed.
– Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
5. Collaboration:
– Work closely with management and kitchen staff to schedule maintenance activities without disrupting restaurant operations.
– Assist in coordinating with external contractors for specialized repairs or renovations.
6. Documentation:
– Maintain records of maintenance work performed, repairs made, and supplies used.
– Report any major repair needs or safety concerns to management.
Qualifications:
– High school diploma or equivalent
– Proven experience in maintenance, preferably in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
– Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
– Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends as needed.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements:
– Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.
– Comfortable working in various environments, including kitchens and outdoor areas.
