Maintenance Worker Jobs in Indianapolis, IN at Specialized Staffing Solutions
We are seeking a reliable and self-motivated Maintenance Technician to support the daily maintenance, repair, and upkeep of our facilities. This role plays a key part in ensuring buildings and surrounding grounds are safe, clean, and fully functional. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with installation, repair, upkeep, and general maintenance of facilities
- Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and complete required tasks
- Ensure building maintenance requests are completed accurately and in a timely manner
- Perform general maintenance tasks, including:
- Light plumbing repairs
- Carpet cleaning and general cleaning of buildings
- Lawn care, mowing, and snow shoveling
- Painting and minor repairs
- Playground equipment inspection and repair
- Maintain safe, clean, and organized work areas at all times
- Communicate maintenance issues requiring outside contractors and obtain proper approvals
- Travel to and support other facilities as needed
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts to increase efficiency and effectiveness
- Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures
Requirements & Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle
- 2–3 years of general maintenance experience
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with little to no direct supervision
- Ability to lift 25–50 lbs regularly
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for 8–10 hour shifts
- Clean background check required
