Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Machinist Engine Lather to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and setting up precision machining operations on a manual lathe and milling machine. No experience necessary, we will train the right applicant.
Duties
- Set up, calibrate, and operate manual lathes and basic milling machine
- Utilize precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Perform tooling setup and adjustments, including selecting appropriate tooling and fixtures for each job
- Maintain a clean, organized work area
- Assist in assembly processes when necessary, ensuring parts meet quality standards before final assembly
Experience
- Proven experience as a Machinist or Engine Lather in a manufacturing environment is preferred, but we will train the right individual
Pay: $18.00 – $24.00 per hour
