Job Summary:
The Production Machine Operator is responsible for operating pre-set automated manufacturing equipment in a light industrial production environment. This role focuses on monitoring machine performance, conducting visual quality inspections, packaging finished products, and maintaining production records while following established safety procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate automated or semi-automated production equipment according to standard operating procedures
- Monitor machine cycles and notify maintenance personnel of mechanical issues
- Perform visual inspections of finished products to ensure quality standards are met
- Package, label, and organize completed products for shipment or next-stage processing
- Maintain accurate production logs and documentation
- Keep workstation clean and organized in accordance with company safety standards
- Follow all OSHA and facility safety guidelines
- Work collaboratively with supervisors and production staff to maintain workflow efficiency
Physical Requirements:
- Light to moderate lifting (typically under 25 pounds)
- Standing and walking for extended periods
- Limited repetitive motion
Qualifications:
- Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Basic mechanical aptitude preferred
Pay: $17.00 – $22.00 per hour
