Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of lunch dishes with precision, creativity, and consistency
- Plan menus that cater to diverse dietary needs and preferences, ensuring balanced nutrition and appealing presentation
- Handle food safely by following strict hygiene standards and proper food handling procedures
- Assist with food prep tasks such as chopping, portioning, and assembling ingredients for service
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including equipment, utensils, and work surfaces
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal service during busy lunch hours
- Support catering or special event meal preparations as needed, ensuring quality and efficiency
Experience
- Proven dietary department or dietary aide experience in a professional kitchen setting
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food service operations
- Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and food handling protocols
- Fine dining or restaurant experience highly desirable for elevated presentation skills
- Skilled in knife techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen organization
- Familiarity with catering services and serving in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of the food industry standards related to culinary safety and quality assurance
Pay: $24.19 – $29.14 per hour
