Lumber Yard Manager – Ashern Branch

As a valuable member of our team, your duties will include:
- Leading Yard Operations: Organize efficient delivery and pickup schedules by effectively communicating with coworkers and customers.
- Inventory Management: Ensure orders and packages are prepared accurately for delivery, and merchandise is loaded/unloaded safely to prevent damage and optimize space.
- Team Leadership & Development: Supervise and manage the Yard team, focusing on developing employees’ skills and fostering a positive, productive work environment.
- Logistics Support: Deliver orders or assist with deliveries when necessary, always adhering to safe job site procedures.
- Receiving & Organization: Ensure all receiving procedures are followed, including accurate paperwork and POS entries. Maintain proper and functional storage locations with clear signage for all merchandise.
The successful candidate will possess:
- Proven leadership skills with an ability to inspire and build a positive team culture.
- A strong commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
- The physical ability to repeatedly lift/carry over 75lbs.
- A proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
- A valid Class 5 Drivers License is required.
- Previous experience is preferred, and knowledge of building materials is a valuable asset.
