Lumber Yard Associate Jobs in Newbury at McNaughton Home Hardware Building Centre
This Lumber Yard position is part of the backbone of our operations. It includes preparing building materials to be shipped to jobsites, delivering material in G-Class trucks, maintaining the lumber yard, helping walk-in customers and assisting larger deliveries including drywall.

DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Provide professional and exceptional customer service to all customers at all times
– Drive and deliver building materials on site using G-Class trucks
– Be contributing and engaged team member, while working well within a team environment
– Unload building materials from various types of delivery trucks while matching received quantities to the invoice
– Put away the received materials in a clean and organized way
– Load delivery trucks with material, adhering to safety regulations, bound for delivery to our customers all over Southwestern Ontario
– Safe and regular use of forklift, lift king, trucks and other heavy mechanical equipment as required with proper training
– Double count loaded delivery trucks to ensure accuracy of inventory and customer billings
– Record customer return products to be provided to the lumber customer service counter
– Assist with Lumber Yard clean-up, maintenance and organization
– Ensure customers are providing required invoice copies in advance of providing material or loading vehicles
– Be accessible to staff, management and owner for questions and propose improvements
– Assist with the training of new staff
– Maintain professional confidentiality of all store and customer records
– Ability to lift over 90lbs, climb a ladder, bend, lift and stand for up to 8 hours
– Ability to work outdoors in all conditions deemed safe
– Adhere to Health and Safety guidelines and regulations as mandated by the company and government at all times
– Any other duties as requested by the company or management.
