Position Summary
We are looking for an International Logistics Coordinator to manage inbound flows from our global and local suppliers to our distribution centers, as well as outbound shipments to international markets.
This role is focused on import/export operations. Domestic Canadian distribution is handled by our warehouse team and is not part of this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate inbound shipments (Asia, Europe, U.S., and Canadian suppliers to our distribution centers)
- Manage outbound shipments to international markets (non-Canadian)
- Book shipments with freight forwarders and carriers
- Track shipments (ETD, ETA, transit)
- Communicate with suppliers, carriers, and customs brokers
- Review and adjust shipping documents and commercial invoices
- Validate HS codes and ensure customs compliance
- Coordinate customs clearance
- Resolve logistics issues and optimize transportation solutions
- Maintain accurate shipment tracking and follow-ups
- Contribute to process improvement and cost optimization
Profile
- 3 to 7 years of experience in international logistics / import-export
- Strong understanding of incoterms and customs processes
- Experience working with freight forwarders and customs brokers
- Solid knowledge of shipping documentation
- Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously
- Functional English is an asset
