The Opportunity – Customer Service/Logistics Coordinator

Under the supervision of the Warehouse and Logistics Manager, the Customer Service/Logistics Clerk holds accountability for assembling essential documentation for client shipments, ensuring prompt delivery to meet on-site deadlines. The role involves coordinating with internal stakeholders to prioritize shipments efficiently, managing customs paperwork, and inputting data into a centralized database. Additionally, the position entails liaising with the production team to ensure shipment schedules are adhered to, collaborating with logistics to arrange truck bookings, and overseeing shipment details such as dimensions and other relevant information

Responsibilities

· Process and validate customer purchase orders, generating all necessary paperwork

· Receive purchase orders (Pos), verifying pricing and availability before confirming with the customer

· Prepare international documentation, including final paperwork, B13 forms, and dangerous goods (DG) paperwork

· Email finalized paperwork to carriers and the LGII Logistics team for international freight

· Compile and dispatch all essential paperwork to carriers via email

· Update the master shipping document and/or BE with any new information

· Generate pick tickets for shippers and provide them as needed

· Data Entry of all Customer Purchase Orders

· Compliance with the requirements of the Quality Management System and Environmental Management System – including but not limited to the following:
– Ensure that goods are stored and shipped using procedures, means of transportation that will reduce risks to the environment.
– Ensuring compliance with the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act ,and other compliance obligations as applicable.

· Ensure they are aware of all actual and potential health and safety hazards in their area of responsibility and that employees are advised of the existence of any potential or actual danger to their health or safety of which the supervisor is aware

Qualifications

Strong organizational aptitude, detailed oriented and excellent time management skills
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask
Customer-oriented and self-motivated individual that is able to work in a team and have the ability to interface confidently with internal and external stakeholders
Strong computer skills using Microsoft office suite including Outlook, Excel and Word
Strong Communication Skills (Written and Verbal)
Proficiency in basic math
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
High school diploma, or equivalent
1 – 2 years of relevant experience an asset
