Our client is seeking a Logistics Specialist to join their growing transportation team. This position plays an important role in supporting daily fleet operations, coordinating dispatch activities, processing driver compensation, and ensuring operational information is maintained accurately.
The successful candidate will work closely with drivers, customers, and internal teams to help keep operations running efficiently. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with Supply Chain or Logistics education who is looking to build a long-term career within the transportation industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor daily dispatch activities and fleet movements
- Communicate with customers regarding service updates and usage reporting
- Review driver performance and compliance reports, including safety and log tracking
- Assist with maintaining operational and terminal records
- Process driver and broker payroll information accurately and on time
- Support reporting related to fleet activity and dispatch operations
- Assist with recruitment activities including interview scheduling and onboarding coordination
- Prepare employee documentation and maintain organized records and files
- Coordinate training, testing appointments, and safety-related administration
- Participate in workplace health and safety initiatives and meetings
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation, or a related field
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with strong administrative abilities
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Previous transportation or dispatch exposure is considered an asset
