Full job description
We’re looking for a Logistics Coordinator who shares our passion for creating memorable events.
Position: Logistics Coordinator
Location: Toronto, ON
Responsibilities:
– Coordinate all logistical aspects of catering events, including transportation, equipment, staffing, and vendor coordination.
– Collaborate closely with the sales and culinary teams to understand client requirements and ensure accurate execution of event plans.
– Source and manage relationships with third-party vendors, negotiating contracts and ensuring timely delivery of services and products.
– Develop and maintain detailed event timelines and schedules, proactively identifying potential issues and implementing solutions to ensure seamless execution.
– Oversee inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and maintaining accurate records of all catering supplies and equipment.
– Conduct site visits as needed to assess venue logistics and coordinate setup and teardown of event spaces.
– Provide on-site support during events to oversee logistics and address any last-minute changes or challenges.
Requirements:
– Previous experience in event coordination, logistics, or a related field, preferably within the hospitality or catering industry.
– Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing deadlines effectively.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
– Detail-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and experience with event management software is an asset.
– Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required, based on event schedules.
-Clean abstract and valid G driver’s licence.
