Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing ingredients, assisting in cooking dishes, and ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about food service and looking to develop their skills in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated candidates committed to food safety and quality standards.

Duties

  • Prepare ingredients and assist in meal preparation according to recipes and restaurant standards
  • Cook menu items efficiently while maintaining high quality and presentation
  • Handle food safely, adhering to proper food handling and sanitation procedures
  • Assist with plating dishes for service, ensuring consistency and visual appeal
  • Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment throughout shifts
  • Support with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying management of stock needs
  • Follow all food safety regulations and health department guidelines to ensure a safe dining environment
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent service and ensure customer satisfaction

Skills

  • Experience in food preparation, cooking, or food handling within a restaurant or food industry setting is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation practices
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail in meal preparation and presentation
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Flexibility to adapt to various kitchen stations and tasks as needed
  • Basic understanding of kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
  • Passion for culinary arts and commitment to delivering quality food service

Job Types: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $17.60 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
