Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking dishes to high standards, and ensuring a smooth flow of food service during busy hours. This role offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills in a fast-paced restaurant environment, contributing to delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
Duties
- Prepare and assemble ingredients for menu items, including chopping, slicing, and measuring
- Cook food items according to standardized recipes and presentation standards
- Assist in food plating and garnishing to ensure visual appeal
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workstation
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times, manage food waste & costs
- Support the team during service hours by efficiently managing multiple orders
- Restock supplies and assist with inventory management as needed
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service preferred but not required
- Knowledge of food handling safety procedures and sanitation standards
- Experience working in a restaurant or food industry setting is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality food presentation
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
