Overview
We are looking for someone with previous kitchen experience, preferably with Mexican cuisine, who is familiar with traditional Mexican ingredients and flavours. The ideal candidate is hardworking and self motivated, with the ability to stay focused and productive throughout their shift. Should be able to handle stress and perform well during busy service periods, maintain a positive attitude under pressure, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. We value someone who takes pride in keeping a clean and organized workspace, stay productive during slower periods, and is willing to assist wherever needed. This position requieres someone who can stand for long periods of time, communicates effectively with their team, and contributes to a positive and supportive workplace. Strong teamwork, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to helping the kitchen run smoothly are essential.
Duties
- Prepare and cook orders on the grill and other kitchen stations
- Assemble and plate dishes according to restaurant standars
- Cook menu items with precision, ensuring consistency and quality in every plate
- Assist with prep work and kitchen organization during slower periods
- Work efficiently in a fast- paced environment and keep up during busy service periods
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety protocols
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene
- Able to work independently while following directions from management.
- Willing to learn and adapt to our kitchen procedures and standards.
This is primarily an evening position, so applicants must be available to work evenings, and weekend availability is mandatory. Applicants must be available to work evenings and weekends on a consistent basis.
Pay: $17.00-$20.00 per hour
