Full job description
Your role as a skilled line cook will include involvement and oversight of the food preparation, prep and production process in the kitchen, and the following of recipes for multiple products for dine-in and take out.
Variable Shifts: Opening or Closing, open availability preferred.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Support the Kitchen Team Lead with all kitchen functions
Prepare, season and cook food according to standardized recipe, meeting dietary requirements where required
Follow recipes and presentation specifications
Keep all coolers and shelves clean, well-stocked and properly rotated.
Rotate prep and cooking stations based on scheduling needs
Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation
Maintain inventory and record of food, supplies and equipment
Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
Qualifications:
Must be self-motivated and solution-oriented
Good communicator and able to work well with others and convey enthusiasm.
Is available for flexible scheduling to meet the needs of the department
An ability to lift or carry items up to 40 pounds
A passion for food
Some cooking experience required
Post Secondary Culinary training considered an asset
WHIMS certification requirement (Sunterra will provide online training)
Food Safety certification requirement (Sunterra will provide online training)
