Duties
- Prepare, cook, and present menu items according to established recipes and quality standards
- Assist in menu planning and ingredient preparation to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards by following proper handling procedures and cleaning protocols
- Use knife skills and culinary techniques to efficiently prepare ingredients for various dishes
- Support catering events and special functions with timely meal preparation and serving
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and high-quality food service
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to ensure consistent availability of ingredients
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service environments, including restaurant or culinary industry experience
- Familiarity with dietary department procedures and dietary aide experience is a plus
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience with menu planning, catering, and serving is desirable
