Have you heard of Medjoie Foods Inc.? Medjoie Foods Inc. is a new Mediterranean specialty grocery and ready-to-eat food business in Port Coquitlam. We are preparing our POS, inventory, product catalogue, and opening team, and we are looking for a detail-oriented person with strong Lightspeed POS experience.
Position Summary
We are looking for someone who has excellent knowledge of Lightspeed POS, product data entry, barcode/SKU setup, inventory, and cashiering. The ideal candidate should be comfortable entering and checking product data, helping organize products in the POS system, supporting cashier workflows, and assisting the opening team with accurate sales and inventory operations.
Main Responsibilities
- Enter and update products in Lightspeed POS
- Work with SKUs, barcodes, supplier codes, product names, categories, prices, and taxes
- Help organize product catalogue and inventory data
- Support receiving and inventory accuracy
- Check products for duplicate names, duplicate SKUs, missing barcodes, and pricing errors
- Help test barcode scanning and POS workflows
- Work as a cashier when needed
- Train or support other staff with basic cashiering and POS use
- Maintain accurate and organized product records
- Communicate issues clearly with management
Required Experience
- Strong practical experience with Lightspeed POS
- Experience with product data entry and POS inventory setup
- Good understanding of SKUs, barcodes, product categories, and pricing
- Cashiering experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Comfortable using spreadsheets such as Excel or Google Sheets
- Reliable, organized, and careful with data
Preferred Experience
- Grocery, specialty food, café, deli, or retail food experience
- Experience with inventory receiving
- Experience with barcode scanning and label systems
- Experience with product imports/exports in Lightspeed
- Ability to help troubleshoot POS setup issues
Important Qualities
This role requires accuracy. Small mistakes in product names, prices, barcodes, or inventory can create real operational and financial problems. We are looking for someone who is patient, detail-oriented, and confident working with POS data.
Compensation
Pay will be based on experience and skill level.
