Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our dedicated healthcare team during the AM shift. Duties
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations to determine care needs.
- Administer medications and injections accurately following prescribed protocols.
- Assist with medical procedures such as catheterization, suturing, tube feeding, and sterile techniques to support patient recovery and comfort.
- Monitor patients’ conditions closely, especially those with acute pain.
- Document all patient interactions meticulously within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like Point Click Care ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on discharge planning, case management, and coordination of post-acute or hospice care services.
- Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease ensuring safety and dignity at all times.
Skills
- Proven experience working with diverse populations including long-term care residents, and individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Point Click Care for accurate medical documentation.
- Skilled in medication administration, and infection control practices including aseptic techniques.
- Ability to perform patient assessments involving vital signs, intake/output monitoring, and physical examinations confidently.
- Familiarity with emergency procedures such as airway management, acute trauma response and urgent/emergency care protocols.
Pay: $40.00 – $45.00 per hour
