About the Role
We are actively seeking experienced Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to join our team at the Southwestern Veterans’ Center in Pittsburgh, PA — a Commonwealth-operated facility proudly serving our veteran community. This is a 2nd shift position (2:00 PM – 11:00 PM) with 4 immediate openings at the Expert level, operating under DMVA. Responsibilities
- Provide practical nursing care for residents and patients including veterans, developmentally disabled, mental health, and juvenile justice populations
- Implement nursing care plans; prepare, administer, and accurately record medications and treatments
- Observe and report changes in the physical and emotional status of residents to the care team
- Take vital signs, collect specimens, and maintain progress notes and administrative reports
- Participate in habilitation and rehabilitation programs established by interdisciplinary treatment teams
- May hold charge responsibility for an assigned care area
- Perform all standard LPN clinical competencies as required by the facility
Minimum Qualifications
- Current Pennsylvania LPN license or eligibility to sit for the Practical Nurse Licensure Examination
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer use
- Ability to enter and manage health data in electronic medical records (EMR)
Compensation & Details
- Pay Rate: $41.00/hour
- Shift: 2nd Shift – 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM

Pay: $35.00 – $40.00 per hour
