Responsibilities

Work closely with business leaders to provide counsel, develop policies and support in a broad range of labour and employment areas, including discipline and terminations Advise on a wide variety of employment issues, assist in the creation and implementation of policies and procedures, and provide legal counsel and support on various strategic human resources initiatives Conduct legal research and provide advice to various leaders and executives Draft concise emails and legal documents Identify legal issues, research and analyze complicated situations quickly and develop practical solutions Develop good working relationships with a variety of stakeholders and work effectively with outside counsel Write briefs on regulations, legal/compliance matters and other ad hoc legal issues to support legal position and provide guidance to teams Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes Skills and Experience Minimum of two years of post-call or related international experience in labour and employment law Experience practicing employment law at a law firm or in-house legal department Excellent knowledge of human rights legislation, trends and practices Knowledge of privacy, IP law and/or securities regulation is considered an asset Excellent oral and written

communication

and organizational skills Bilingual (English and French) is considered an asset
