Lead Painter Jobs in Miami, FL at Michael Grant Painting
Duties:
– Lead a team of painters in completing various painting projects
– Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer
– Apply paint using various techniques including brush, roller, and airless paint spraying
– Mix and match paint colors to achieve desired results
– Caulk gaps and cracks to ensure a smooth and seamless finish
– Collaborate with other tradespeople such as carpenters and drywall installers to complete renovation projects
– Read and interpret blueprints to understand project specifications
– Maintain a clean and organized work area
– Ensure compliance with safety regulations and use personal protective equipment (PPE)
– Train and mentor junior painters
Requirements:
– Proven experience as a painter, preferably in a lead role
– Strong knowledge of different painting techniques and materials
– Familiarity with drywall installation, stucco application, and carpentry work
– Proficient in using power tools such as sanders, sprayers, and brushes
– Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project specifications
– Detail-oriented with excellent color perception and matching skills
– Strong communication and leadership skills
– Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
– Physical stamina to stand, bend, kneel, and lift heavy objects for extended periods of time
