At Douglass Painting, we’re building a team of professionals who care about craftsmanship, reliability, and customer satisfaction. We’re looking for a Lead Painter who can lead projects, mentor crew members, and help deliver exceptional results on every job.
Responsibilities
- Lead residential and light commercial painting projects.
- Complete interior and exterior painting to a high standard.
- Surface preparation including scraping, sanding, caulking, patching, masking, and priming.
- Operate airless sprayers, brushes, and rollers confidently.
- Perform light carpentry including rot repair, trim replacement, siding repairs, and basic exterior repairs.
- Communicate professionally with homeowners and project managers.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites.
- Train and guide crew members while maintaining production goals.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional painting experience preferred.
- Previous crew leadership experience.
- Light carpentry experience required.
- Experience spraying with Graco or similar airless sprayers.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to climb ladders and lift 50+ lbs.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and positive attitude.
- Must be dependable and show up ready to work every day.
