DEKTEX is looking for a skilled carpenter who wants more than just a paycheck.
We are searching for someone with carpentry experience, strong character, and a desire to grow into a Lead Carpenter role. We don’t expect you to know everything. We do expect you to take ownership, work hard, stay humble, and help the people around you succeed.
Our team specializes in high-end outdoor living projects including decks, pergolas, outdoor kitchens, railings, lighting, and complete backyard transformations.

What You’ll Do
- Build high-quality outdoor living projects
- Learn advanced framing and layout techniques
- Install decking, railings, pergolas, and outdoor living products
- Work alongside experienced leaders and craftsmen
- Train and mentor helpers as your skills grow
- Maintain clean, organized jobsites
- Protect company tools, materials, and equipment
- Help create an outstanding customer experience
What We’re Looking For
Required
- Construction or carpentry experience
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately
- Experience with hand and power tools
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable transportation
- Strong work ethic
- Positive attitude
- Desire to learn and grow
Preferred
- Framing experience
- Deck building experience
- Leadership experience
- Outdoor construction experience
- Ability to read plans and layouts
What Success Looks Like
Within your first year you will:
- Master DEKTEX building systems
- Become a trusted carpenter on our projects
- Help train newer team members
- Take ownership of quality and productivity
- Develop into a Lead Carpenter capable of guiding a crew when needed
