Laundry Machine Operator Jobs in Cody, WY at Holiday Inn Cody
The Holiday Inn Cody has an opening for a Laundry Machine Operator. This position operates the laundry machines for three hotels in the summer months and two hotels in the winter months. This position ensures there is an adequate supply of linen available to meet the demand of the hotels. This is a year round position averaging 35 hours/week. Weekends required. $16.75/hour, uniforms provided, hotel and restaurant discounts.
Responsibilities:
-Receive dirty linen from housekeeping staff and separate linens and towels by type
-Wash and dry laundry following proper procedures with proper quantities of chemicals
-Follow machine safety procedure; always wait until machine is done spinning-do not overload
-Follow chemical safety procedure; always wear protective eyewear when changing out chemicals
-Cleaning of drains daily and filters
-Ensure machines and area are kept free of lint
-Maintain the organization of laundry room
Qualifications/Physical requirements:
-Strong attention to detail, working carefully within minimum time
-Must be able to follow written and verbal directions
-The ability to manage priorities
-Must be capable of working in a fast paced environment with multiple interruptions
-Must be able to lift 25-30lbs and occasionally up to 50lbs with assistance
-Must be capable of frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, standing, walking, and carrying
-Must be flexible in hours and days available to work in accordance to business need
-No previous experience required, willingness to obtain any required certification as necessary
