Laundry Attendant Jobs in Whistler at Crystal Lodge

The Crystal Lodge are looking for both full and part-time Laundry Attendants to join their housekeeping team! This is a great opportunity for someone who loves cleaning, is looking for a fast-paced job, and is looking for year-round employment!

Within this role, you will be responsible for handling the day-to-day operations of the hotel’s laundry requirements ensuring daily laundry needs are met, and stock levels are maintained to meet guest satisfaction. Some of the duties that will be expected, but not limited to, within this role include:

Collecting daily requirement information from the Director of Housekeeping and Coordinators to ensure knowledge and understanding of what is required from the laundry department that day.
Meeting personal daily quotas as set by the Director of Housekeeping and Coordinators
Sort all linens dropped into date order so the oldest is cleaned first to lengthen the life of hotel stock
Load and unload washing/drying machines.
Inspecting clean laundry prior to folding and distribution.
Reporting damaged products to management team.
Receiving and inspecting new linens .
Stocking and organizing linen carts to meet hotel demands, communicating any delays with the management teams.
Completing chemical and linen inventory.

Please note, that you will be required to complete other duties outside of this to ensure the smooth operation of the Housekeeping department within the hotel.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years experience with commercial laundry machines. It is essential that you are a strong communicator with good organizational skills to ensure that you are able to maximize your productivity. Within this role, you will be required to work with chemicals, so WHMIS training in preferred, but can be provided.

For full-time employees you will be required to work 8 hours shifts so you must have the ability to stand, walk and move for extended periods of time. This is a physically demanding role that will include lifting large bags of laundry which at times could be up to 50lbs.
