Join an amazing team of people! We’re looking for friendly and detail-oriented people to join our team in the position of Laundry Attendant. These team members are crucial to ensuring every guest is provided a clean and comfortable room at check-in.
The successful candidates will receive a competitive wage ($18:00 – $19.00 /hr to start) plus summer bonus, starting wage depending on experience and performance. We give feedback along the way and do reviews after 1 month, 3 months, 1 year with benefits after 6 months.
Duties will include:
Responsible for completing laundry needs inclusive of: Sorting, loading, folding, storing and minor preventative maintenance on machines (i.e. removing lint, ensuring levels of soap, etc.).
Reporting any damaged linen to the manager.
Report any breakdowns or malfunctions within the laundry room to the appropriate department.
Responsible for assisting the Housekeeping team with in-room, stay-overs and full cleans on an as needed basis.
Manage guest requests in a timely and efficient manner.
Understand the correct usage and storage of cleaning agents in line with the health and safety regulations and manufacturer’s instructions.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
Must be physically capable and able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform movements such as bending and kneeling when required. In addition, you will be required to stand and/or walk for long periods.
Must be a fast-paced worker and work well with others as well as independently.
Ability to multitask and follow instructions.
Experience in laundry or housekeeping is an asset.
