Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Assist with landscape installation projects, including planting trees, shrubs, flowers, and installing hardscape features such as patios and walkways.
- Perform routine lawn care tasks such as mowing, edging, trimming, and fertilizing to keep lawns healthy and attractive.
- Maintain landscape features by pruning trees and shrubs, performing tree trimming, and caring for plants to promote growth and safety.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for tasks like digging, edging, aerating, and installing irrigation systems.
- Support snow plowing operations during winter months to ensure safe access for properties and pathways.
- Conduct general maintenance of equipment including excavators, lawnmowers, trimmers, and other landscaping machinery.
- Follow safety protocols at all times while working with construction equipment or in potentially hazardous environments.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge to operate and maintain various landscaping tools and machinery effectively.
- Experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening, and horticulture practices.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, and power tools including trimmers and blowers.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment like excavators for larger construction or landscape projects.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and repair to support healthy plant growth.
- Familiarity with tree care techniques including trimming, pruning, and health assessment.
- Understanding of hardscape installation processes such as paving stones or retaining walls.
- Ability to perform snow plowing efficiently during winter months for property safety.
