Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscape Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work and a strong understanding of landscaping principles. This role involves various tasks related to the maintenance and enhancement of outdoor spaces, ensuring they are aesthetically pleasing and healthy. The Landscape Technician will work with a variety of tools and equipment to build, maintain, and care for gardens, lawns, trees, and other landscape features.
Duties
- Perform groundskeeping tasks including mowing, trimming, edging lawns, and chemical spraying etc to maintain neat appearances.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools such as riding and push lawn mowers, weeedeaters, battery powered backpacks and blowers, and sprayers etc effectively for various landscaping projects.
- Dig holes for planting trees, shrubs, and flowers while ensuring proper depth and spacing.
- Conduct tree care activities such as pruning, fertilizing, and pest management.
- Build landscape features such as flower beds, rock beds, and pathways as needed.
- Maintain equipment by cleaning, lubricating, and performing minor repairs to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance or related fields is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various hand tools and power tools safely.
- Familiarity with gardening techniques including planting, watering, and fertilization practices.
- Ability to dig trenches or holes manually or using machinery as required.
- Excellent physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
- A valid driver’s license is required and the ability to pull and back up a utility trailer for transportation.
