Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Landscape Laborer to join our team and contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of outdoor spaces. This role involves performing a variety of landscaping tasks, assisting with construction projects, and ensuring the overall health and appearance of landscaped areas. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a passion for outdoor work, and a willingness to learn new skills related to horticulture and landscape maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Assist with landscape installation, including planting, mulching, and sod laying
- Operate equipment such as weed trimmer, hedged trimmer, and other power tools safely and effectively
- Perform gardening tasks including pruning, trimming, fertilizing, and weed control
- Conduct routine landscape maintenance such as mowing, edging, and debris removal
- Support construction activities related to landscape projects, including site preparation and material handling
- Perform general maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal operation
- Follow safety protocols during all tasks to prevent accidents and injuries
Skills
- Experience or familiarity power tools, hand tools, and mechanical knowledge is preferred
- Knowledge of gardening techniques, horticulture principles, and landscape maintenance practices
- Ability to perform physical labor in various weather conditions with stamina and attention to detail
- Strong understanding of construction processes related to landscaping projects
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Willingness to learn new skills related to landscape care and maintenance
