Responsibilities
- Assist in landscape installation, including planting trees, shrubs, flowers, and installing hardscape features such as patios and walkways
- Perform lawn care tasks such as mowing, edging, trimming, and fertilizing to keep outdoor spaces vibrant and healthy
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely for tasks like pruning, digging, and landscape construction
- Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting, repairing, or installing sprinklers to ensure proper watering
- Conduct landscape maintenance activities including hedge trimming, tree care, mulching, and seasonal snow plowing when required
- Support equipment operation such as excavators or other machinery for larger landscaping projects
- Follow safety protocols diligently while working with landscaping materials and heavy equipment
Requirements
- Basic mechanical knowledge to operate hand tools and power equipment effectively
- Experience with lawn care, gardening, or landscape maintenance is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for motivated learners
- Familiarity with landscaping techniques including hardscape installation and horticulture practices
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions with physical stamina for manual labor tasks
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to construction equipment and landscaping tools
- Strong teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward learning new skills in tree care, irrigation systems, or snow plowing
- Valid driver’s license is a plus; willingness to obtain certifications such as equipment operation or safety training is encouraged
