Landscape Crew Leader Jobs in Marshall, MI at New Horizon Property Management

Now Hiring: Landscape Crew Leader

Are you an experienced landscaper ready to lead a crew, run jobs, and take ownership of daily production? This is not a routine mowing position, it is a position that includes planting, installing landscape features, and following design plans.

We’re hiring a Landscape Crew Leader to lead a team in delivering high-quality landscape maintenance and installation work. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll be responsible for jobsite execution, crew performance, and hitting production targets every day.

If you’re reliable, take pride in your work, and can keep a crew moving efficiently — we want to talk to you.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead a crew of 2–4 team members on landscape jobs
  • Execute landscape maintenance and/or installation projects
  • Ensure jobs are completed on time and within budgeted hours
  • Assign tasks and manage crew productivity throughout the day
  • Perform and oversee work such as: mulching, planting, bed work, landscape, some hardscape or install projects
  • Enforce safety standards and proper equipment use
  • Inspect work before leaving each jobsite to ensure quality
  • Track daily labor, job progress, and materials
  • Communicate with supervisors on job status, delays, or issues
  • Interact professionally with customers on-site

This role is critical to ensuring jobs are completed right the first time without rework or wasted labor hours.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of landscape experience (maintenance or installation of plants, trees, shrubs)
  • Previous leadership or Crew Leader experience preferred
  • Ability to run a crew and keep jobs on schedule
  • Strong work ethic and reliability (this is not a “show up late” role)
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in all conditions
  • Valid driver’s license

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • You have Horticultural Knowledge
  • You take ownership of the job — not just your tasks
  • You understand how to keep crews productive and on pace
  • You care about quality and doing the job right the first time
  • You communicate clearly with both your team and your supervisor
  • You lead by example — not from the sidelines

What Success Looks Like

  • Jobs are completed on time and within labor targets
  • Crew stays productive throughout the day
  • Work meets company quality standards with little to no rework
  • Equipment is used properly and maintained
  • Customers are satisfied with the finished result

Why Join Our Team?

  • Competitive hourly pay + overtime opportunities
  • Steady, full-time work (no guessing your hours)
  • Growth opportunities into Field Supervisor or higher roles
  • Well-organized company focused on efficiency and quality
  • Support from leadership — you won’t be left guessing
