Our portfolio is diverse, and we are looking for candidates who share our passion for creating both civic projects and high-end residential landscapes for discerning clients and who show a strong interest in Quebec’s rich plant life and local materials. A degree in Landscape Architecture (BLA or MLA) and two to six years of experience in a recognized firm are required. Applicants should thrive in a dynamic environment and possess excellent management, verbal, and written communication skills. We highly value honesty, pragmatism, organization, and focus. Strong design sensibility, creative energy, and a sense of humour are essential. Hand drawing skills are appreciated, as is knowledge of local plants, materials, and construction details suited to Quebec’s climate. We work on PC and use software including AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office, etc.
DESCRIPTION OF MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Act as project manager for various assignments;
• Develop drawings based on preliminary concepts through proficient use of digital and analog communication tools;
• Produce high-quality technical documents, including construction details and technical specifications;
• Meet with clients and respond to project needs;
• Develop planting designs;
• Coordinate with contractor(s);
• Prepare cost estimates and cost analyses;
• Senior position: Mentor and lead more junior employees and perform quality control ;
• Senior position: Check drawings to ensure they comply with criteria and specifications;
• Write reports;
• Coordinate with related disciplines.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION:
• Passionate about bringing high-quality projects from concept design to the final built landscape.
• Master's degree and/or bachelor's degree in landscape architecture from an accredited program,
• Accreditation with a professional landscape architecture association (AAPQ membership is an asset);
• Two to six years of experience in a recognized landscape architecture firm;
• Communication skills in French (oral and written);
• Ability to communicate in English (oral). Written English is an asset;
• Excellent organizational skills, common sense, curiosity, and big-picture thinking;
• Expert AutoCAD skills;
• Knowledge of the following software: Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite;
• 3D modelling skills with SketchUp;
• Strong interest in plants and ecosystem health;
• Desire to find solutions at all scales to improve the ecological and social functionality of the built environment.
