Labourer/Picker Jobs in Fredericton at Capital Region Service Commission
Under the immediate supervision of the Landfill Supervisor and under the general supervision of the Site Superintendent, this position performs a variety of operational and maintenance activities related to the Solid Waste Division.
Specific Responsibilities
The following duties are representative of the duties of the position when fully functioning. They are not intended to represent the entire functional capacity of the position at the task level.
Performs litter pick-up and litter control and containment by picking up garbage, emptying trash cans and consolidating trash to maintain the grounds at the landfill.
This position performs building and grounds maintenance utilizing equipment including mowers, edger, weed eater; hand tools and electric hand tools utilized in performing the tasks of various janitorial, landscaping, gardening, and general maintenance activities of the job.
Cleans and assists in general maintenance.
Promotes and assists in recycling functions.
May assist with construction activities on site.
Maintains a positive, helpful, and constructive attitude.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 per hour
