WM is hiring a Laborer for the Cambridge Material Recycling Facility. This hands-on role involves debris management and traffic direction at the landfill, supporting environmental responsibilities.
In this union position, you will work Monday to Friday, with overtime as dictated by business needs. Your tasks will include picking up refuse, operating a mobile vacuum to clean the landfill perimeter, and directing truck traffic during busy periods. Additionally, you will lift construction materials and separate recyclables on the tipping floor.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collect debris using plastic bags along landfill edges
• Operate a tractor and vacuum to clean loose refuse
• Direct heavy truck traffic at landfill entrance
• Lift and transport construction materials for site maintenance
• Manually sort recyclables from landfill waste
Requirements:
• Required licenses from relevant agencies
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks
• Effective communication skills for traffic direction
• Willing to comply with health and safety regulations
• Open to obtaining a REAL needed
