Award winning family run restaurant in Warrenton, VA looking for a Kitchen manager/Chef to come in and showcase their culinary skills while managing the kitchen. Looking for someone to grow with the position and the business. Promotes work life balance. Kitchen operating hours Sun-Thur 11 am-9 pm, Fri-Sat 11 am-10pm.

Pay starting at $45,000 based on experience. 3 month evualation as well as yearly raises.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing inventory/ordering so that all necessary ingredients are stocked for service
  • Hiring new staff and providing training to facilitate quick acclimation
  • Streamlining the kitchen processes to maintain prompt service times
  • Setting regular cleaning standards for the kitchen and verifying that staff is maintaining sanitation levels
  • Creating schedules for all kitchen staff
  • Tracking kitchen finances to identify areas of potential waste
  • Working on the line with staff to ensure quality production
  • Updating menu’s for seasonal changes
  • Executing in house banquets/catering events.
  • Executing weekly specials

Work Experience:

2+ years in similar leadership position

Education:

Culinary education is a plus but not a requirement.
