.Food Services Manager (Full-Time, Year-Round)
Compensation: $60,000 / Year plus performance incentive bonuses Chilliwack Curling Club – Chilliwack, BC
Do you have a passion for culinary excellence and building community? The Chilliwack Curling Club is seeking a dedicated Food Services Manager to lead the 9th End Café and drive the success of our year-round food operations.
This is a full-time, permanent position for a proactive leader who thrives in a hands-on kitchen environment. You will oversee all aspects of the café, from staff mentorship and menu standards to profitability and event coordination.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead the Team: Supervise kitchen and front-of-house staff, including hiring, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
- Maintain Excellence: Oversee food preparation standards, inventory control, ordering, and waste reduction.
- Ensure Safety: Ensure total compliance with Fraser Health, FoodSafe, and all applicable health and safety regulations.
- Drive Profitability: Manage food and labor budgets, monitor COGS, and implement cost controls to reach performance targets.
- Collaborate: Partner with the Facility & Events Manager to coordinate food services for bonspiels, corporate rentals, and special events.
- Reporting: Prepare monthly reports for the management team.
What You Bring:
- Proven experience in food service management, venue operations, or hospitality.
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on mentoring staff and building a positive workplace culture.
- Comfort with financial management, including budgeting and labor cost tracking.
- FoodSafe certification and a deep understanding of health and safety standards.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed during peak curling or event periods.
